Demexiptiline

Like most tricyclic antidepressants, it was first brought to use in Europe for use in treatment against depression. It’s first uses were recorded in France and was sold as Tinoran and Deparon. This drug has been made obsolete throughout the years as other SSRIs have overtaken it in performance and quality.

Demexiptiline is an adrenergic reuptake inhibitor which is a type of drug that blocks the pharmacodynamics (drug action on the human body) of the norepinephrine transporter by acting as a reuptake inhibitor (like most TCAs).
